Well 26 on the Canning Stock Route. One of the few wells where     there is water, and fit for human consumption. The Canning Stock  Route was established during the early years of this century for the   purpose of driving stock from the Kimberley to Kalgoorlie and Perth.  51 wells were sunk and  produced water for the herds, but only a few of   them produced water fit for human consumption.
